Amazon launches Nova Reel 1.1: Now generate videos up to 2 minutes

In December last year, Amazon introduced a series of new foundation models called Nova on Amazon Bedrock. The models included in this series are Micro, Lite, Pro, Premier, Canvas, and Reel. Each model has its specialty — Micro processes only text and is the smallest, while Premier is the largest and supports multimodal. Canvas focuses on image generation, while Reel is the job of generating videos.

Initially, the Reel model could only create videos up to 6 seconds. But now, Amazon has released Reel 1.1, which allows generating multi-shot videos up to 2 minutes.

Reel 1.1 Features:

You can now create up to 2 minutes of videos, consisting of multiple 6-second shots that maintain the same style. You can create an entire video with a single prompt or customize your video by giving different prompts for each shot.

There are two modes available:

1. Multishot Automated Mode

In this, you can create a video from a single prompt (maximum 4,000 characters).

It does not require an input image.

2. Multishot Manual Mode

In this, you can give different prompts for each shot (the limit of each prompt is 512 characters).

This mode supports images with 1280×720 resolution.

It is ideal for those who want more control.
